Freights - the primary bread-earner of Indian Railways. The freight cars may be derprived of dedicated photographic attention as enjoyed by locomotives, but these colorless wagons adds color to our lives by carrying our everday necessities like food grains, coals for power plants, clothing materials, construction materials, consumer durables and what not. In other words these wagons inturn are providing elements of basic needs of mankind - Food, Clothing, Shelter & Electricity across the length & breadth of this vast country. In other sections of this website we tried to reflect various aspects of Indian railway network. Likewise here we have strived to present a collection of various freight cars running on IR tracks with some brief specs and photos....
