NSCB Gomoh --- This railway junction is situated on the Asansol-Gaya section in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Several branch lines start here: Gomoh-Barkakana branch line, Gomoh-Muri branch line and Adra-Gomoh line. The station was opened in 1906 as a part of HWH-DLI Grand Chord rail link. The Nagpur-Asansol line was extended to Gomoh in 1907. In 1927, the Central India Coalfields Railway opened the Gomoh-Barkakana line. The line was later amalgamated with East Indian Railway. Later in 1961, 143 kilometres long Chandrapura-Muri-Ranchi-Hatia line was completed. The Dhanbad-Gomoh sector was electrified by 1961. Gomoh railway station was renamed Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Gomoh in 2009 to commemorate the great journey of Netaji in 1941 which started from Gomoh. The station have six platforms with a stoppage of nearly 58 trains. Gomoh also has a Eletcric Locomotive Shed which currently houses around 84 nos. of WAG7 & 133 nos. of WAG9 class locomotives.
