Ambala Cantonment

Ambala Cantt --- The Sind, Punjab & Delhi Railway completed the 483 km long Amritsar-Ambala-Saharanpur-Ghaziabad line in 1870 connecting Multan (now in Pakistan) with Delhi. The station opened in 1891 & serves Ambala Cantonment and Ambala. Ambala Cantt. was established in the year 1843 and is an important centre for manufacturing of scientific & surgical instruments. Currently the station serves as the junction of Delhi-Kalka line, Moradabad-Ambala line & Ambala-Attari line. The station have seven plaforms with a stoppage of over 225 trains and around 27 trains originates/terminates at this junction. Station code - UMB.
