Ahmadpur Junction

Ahmadpur Junction --- This junction station is the most important & key station of Birbum district, WB in Sahebganj Loop line. Most people used this railway station, including parts of Burdwan & Murshidabad dist. to go to Kolkata. It used to have a narrow-gauge link to Katwa. The last NG rail-bus service of eastern India used to operate in this stretch which eventually gives way to inevitable but otherwise useless gauge-conversion. As of now the station have only two BG platforms with halts for around 44 trains. Station code - AMP.
