A wooden replica of an X class MG steam locomotive is in place inside NMR museum. It is named as 'EVR 333' in remeberance of the great reformist & social activist Erode Venkata Ramasamy, affectionately called Periyar or E. V. R. by his followers, the man who started the Self-Respect Movement or the Dravidian Movement. This wooden loco replica is one of the prime indoor exhibit in NMR museum.
