NJP-Darjeeling Passenger --- The beautiful ride begins at New Jalpaiguri NG station in the plains at 9:00 hrs and ends at Darjeeling at around 16:30 hrs. The plains are much more warmer than the hills and as the train climbs up the mountains the climate gets much colder. The discovery that here the broad-gauge system ends and the 2 ft gauge begins, confirms what all these things hint at.
