X - 37392

X-37392 --- Built by Swiss Locomotive & Machine Works, Winterthur, Switzerland in 1952. The current oil-fired locomotives need only one fireman to accompany the driver, while coal-fired engines need two firemen. This was also a major reason for conversion to an oil-fired system by NMR. This beatifully re-painted magnificant machine was spotted while resting at sidelines of Cunnoor steam shed. Photographed by Somsubhra Das. D.O.P. - 19th October 2015.
