Dhaka Cantt.-Kolkata Maitree Express --- On 14th April 2017, from both India & Bangladesh side Maitree express restarted its journey following a short discontinuation due to upgradation of coaches in either sides of the border. Here its seen the completely revived Maitree Express with brand new air-conditoned LHB rakes of Bangladesh Railway made in RCF, Kaputhala with all modern facilities. The new LHB AC rake comprises 10 coaches altogether with 2 - AC Power Cars, 5 - AC Chair Car & 3 - AC Sleeper Cars.

Following a contract agreement between RITES Ltd (Indian Railway PSU) and Bangladesh Railway executed on 21st January 2015, and subsequently between RITES Ltd and RCF, Indian Railways have started exporting 120 modern LHB coaches to BR since June 2016, at an estimated cost of ₹ 367 crore. The export order of 120 LHB coaches include 17 AC First Class, 17 AC Chair Car, 34 Non-AC Chair Car with Pantry, 33 Non-AC Chair Car with Prayer Room and 19 Power Car coaches. These stainless steel LHB broad-gauge coaches are being manufactured by Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. The colour scheme has been suggested by Bangladesh Railways.
