Kolkata Tram - 540 --- Hero of our childhood !!! This unique liveried re-furbished, K-class, wooden-body 'hathi gari' tram was the star attraction of the Tollygunge depot and used to cater passengers mainly through Route # 29 to Esplanade & back. The livery still survived without the ugly enroachments by the advertisment bill-boards. But the tramcar itself was parked in utter neglect inside Kalighat depot despite being in good road-worthy condition. Photographed by Roy on 22nd October 2019.
