Kolkata Tram - 344 --- Another spotting of a 3XX series tramcar !!! This articulated, wooden-bodied tramcar in full working condition was spotted inside Park Circus depot. This depot is now closed for over 5 years due to construction of a fly-over. The construction is completed around a year back. But Park Circus Tram depot never reopened. And why will they reopen it ??? What will happen to all the cut-money that they are getting from auto unions who are getting benefitted due to closure of tram routes. Same story all round the city. Official statement from Police/KMC/State Govt. as derived from the answers of numerous RTIs are same lame excuse that - Trams are the 'ONLY' cause of traffic jams in the city.
