4-Wheeled, Diesel-powered, 2-axled, Self-propelled Over Head Equipment (OHE) Inspection Tower Wagon - 1893. These are meant for periodic inspection, patrolling & maintenance of OHE on electrified BG routes and also use to attend sites of OHE breakdown. Built at Jamalpur Railway Workshop. These vehicles consists of 3 compartments - Front & rear are driving cabins with vehicle controls, driver desk & workers seating arrangement whereas the middle compartment is used for material carrying for maintenance purpose. These tower wagons have got some key features like solid forged axles - 16 tonne capacity one powered axle & one trailing axle, Kirloskar Cummins N-855R type 205 hp engine, mechanical lifting & swivelling platform, roof-mounted pantograph for checking OHE parameters. Max speed 75 kmph but usually restricted to an operational speed of 40kmph max.
