(Originally NDM1 # 547 of Kalka) Built by Jung in 1978. Articulated loco with two prime power units. Both shared a common hydraulic transmission with dog clutches. Axle load 7.5 ton. The single cab was suspended between the two units. Both power units were used for travelling uphill while one was in use for downhill, on the Neral-Matheran line. Originally intended for the Kalka-Shimla railway and classed ZDM-1 but been regauged when ZDM3s were obtained for that line.
