RD-688 (1929)

Built by Nasmyth Wilson & Co. Manchester, UK, in 1929, this magnificant RD class loco was used by Bengal-Nagpur Railway (BNR) on Raipur-Dhamtari narrow-gauge section. Thus it was classified as RD class. With a wheel configuration 2-6-2 it also used to have a 8-wheel tender which is rare among NG locos. Presently resting at National Railway Museum, New Delhi.
