Built by Swiss Locomotive & Machine Works, Winterthur, Switzerland in 1925. With 0-8-2 wheel arrangement this meter-gauge X class locos have the ability to run on rack and pinion track & are India's only 4-cylinder steam locos, the additional cylinders being used for the rack wheel. This locomotive was withdrawn from servive in 2012. It was then renovated at Golden Rock workshop for the NMR museum.
