This locomotive was built in the year 1964 by Maschinenbau Kiel GmbH (MaK) of Kiel, Germany. It is a 6-cylinder, 700 cc diesel locomotive weighing 38.5 tons with a haulage capacity of 173 tons. It was imported by SER and housed at Motibagh NG DLS. The locomotive used to roar the narrow-gauge networks around Chindwara-Nagpur-Nagbhir, Chindwara-Jabalpur-Mandla Fort & Jabalpur-Nainpur-Balaghat to haul both passenger & goods train.
