A favourite with the children is a mini train that offers visitors joy rides around a track that loops through the museum grounds. SWR Mysore division introduced a new diesel operated toy train at a cost of ₹ 21.76 lakh replacing the old toy train. It was manufactured at the Central Workshops, Mysore.
