YG-3403

The YG was the standard freight Locomotive operational on the meter gauge system on the Indian Railways. This 2-8-2 wheel arrangement loco has the distinction of the largest holding of any one class of locomotive on the Northern Railway system. This YG - 3403 locomotive was built in 1960 by Tata Engineering & Locomotive Co. Ltd. for fright services in North East Frontier Railway. This loco have a tractive effort of 23450 lbs. Currently preserved inside sheds of Regional Rail Museum, Howrah.
