baby sivok

This loco manufactured in 1881 by Sharp & Stewarts Company Ltd. Glasgow, Scotland was purchased by A.R. Buthnot & Company Ltd. for DHR. This loco was named after the station 'Sivoke' in Siliguri-Geillekhola extension which was named as 'Baby Sivok' by Mr. James Shaw, the then Loco Superintendent of DHR. This loco is now kept in Ghoom Rail Museum and is steamed up occasionally. Photographed by Roy.
