These rakes have in-built systems to minimise breakdowns during travel. The Medha rakes have LED-based lighting for better illumination & also to reduce energy consumption by approximately 30-35% as compared to the existing rakes & can travel at speeds up to 110 kmph. These rakes also have a facility that would help motormen to communicate with guard in case of emergencies.
