# 3002 is the first 25kV A.C. traction retro-fitted Jessop EMU of Central railway & currently caters betwenn Pune & Lonavla. By retrofitting, the running life of old rakes can be extended by 15 years. CR plans to convert 15 such 12-car rakes. CR has already retrofitted 20 rakes, but these were A/C and D/C dual rakes. This was the first time CR has retrofitted an A/C train.
