--- Four modern diesel locomotives handle most of the scheduled services; however the daily Kurseong-Darjeeling return service and the daily tourist trains from Darjeeling to Ghum (India's 2nd highest railway station) are handled by the vintage 'B' Class steam locos. The NDM6 class diesel locos are in use : #601, #602, #604 and #605 all of them got transferred from the Matheran Light Railway.
