YP-2590 --- This meter-gauge mainline passenger locomotive was built by Tata Engineering & Locomotive Company (TELCO) in the year 1965. This 938 hp YP class loco with Pacific 4-6-2T wheel arrangement used to have 6290 kgs of tractive effort with 10.65 ton axle load and capable of doing 75 kmph of max speed. Following decommisioning in 1998, this majestic steamer was preserved & plinthed outside Aurangabad station for public display. Photographed by Somsubhra Das. D.O.P. - 1st November 2012.
