MG Heritage Rest House on Wheel - Kalakund --- Following the useless gauge conversion drive which sees an unprecedented end of the century old meter-gauge era in the Mhow-Akola section of Western Railway. But of late the Patalpani-Kalakund section was re-introduced as an heritage by Indian Railways in 2018. The picturesque rail route between Patalpani and Kalakund offers amazing views of lush-green mountain ranges and spectacular waterfalls. To add up to the amenities, all the stations, rest houses and other service buildings on Patalpani-Kalakund section has been decorated along with development of dozens of tourist spots. This is one such rest houses built from a decomissioned meter-gauge coach built in the year 1977. Earlier this coach was a part of an Accident Relief Train and used as a Medical Van. It was later revamped & transformed into an air-conditioned rest house from incoming tourists at Kalakund station. Type - RH.
