MG AC Tourist Coach --- These are self-generating, vestibuled, air-conditioned 2-tier sleeper coaches of Indian railways with seat/sleeping capacity of 28 persons. AC package units are mounted on each side of the roof. Two exits on either ends. Total four toilets - two on each sides, in which three are Indian style squat & one is western style. Facilities like fan, bottle holders, snacks table, reading lamp, window curtains, side curtains to maintain privacy, magazine holder & hooks are provided. Built by - ICF, Perambur. Type - WGACCW.
This particular coach is used in Mavli-Goram Ghat section of North Western Railway. It used to cater passengers to the scenic Goram Ghat station from Mavli through one of the oldest meter-gauge track which once connected Mavli to Karachi. Goram Ghat is located in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan surrounded by tranquail beauty of Aravali hills. The 22-km Ghat section, considered to be the highest rail track in Rajasthan, starts from Kamlighat and touches Goram Ghat, inside the 495 sq km Todgarh Raoli sanctuary, to reach Phulad after passing through picturesque locations and rich flora and fauna terrain in the lap of the Aravalli Mountains. This coach is actually a part of an eco-train safari on hilly tract of British time, winding valleys of Aravalli Hill ranges full of bio-diversity. Several Falls and water channels passing below the train line on way, wild animals, birds and their signs. From Khambli ghat station, which is also the entry point to Raoli-Todgarh wildlife sanctuary, the natural beauty of the ghat section begins. The train starts moving uphill slowly crossing two tunnels on the way. In between Kamlighat an Phulad the railway track is designed in 'U' fashion and a passenger sitting in train at one arm can visualize every object on the other arm.
