Each LHB air-conditioned Hot Buffet Cars are equipped with a 230 litres Deep Freezer, a 90 litres capacity Bottle cooler machine, a hot case with 140 meals capacity at one time & a water boiler which can boil 30 litres of water at a time. Apart from which these cars also have Water Filters (Aquaguard), refrigerator, an Exhaust Chimney & Insects killer machine. The earlier versions of these cars features an Electric Hot Plate with locks (to avoid unauthorised access) to cooking & frying. In the recent versions Hot plates are replaced by Induction Heater to enhance safety & energy efficiency.
