BG ICF Vistadome Coach --- Indian Railways introduced two Vistadome coaches one with the 58501/02 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger train on 16th April 2017 & the other with the 12051/52 Dadar-Madgaon-Dadar Janshatabdi Express train on 18th September 2017. Aimed at improved passenger experience along picturesque Araku valley of Anantagiri ghat section & the country's scenic Western Ghats, Vistadome coaches are specially designed air-conditioned chair car coaches claimed to be a 'first-of-its-kind' in Indian Railways. Following the overwhelming response Indian railways planning to introduce more such coaches in North-eastern India & also in Jammu & Kashmir section in near future.
The premium Vistadome coaches are fitted with wide windowpanes & roof of switchable glass that becomes either transparent or translucent with just the click of a switch ensures that passengers can gaze endlessly at the scenic landscape en route with an exclusive glass observation lounge to allow uninterrupted sight-seeing. These special and aesthetically-designed 40-seater coaches are equipped with double-wide reclining passenger seats that could be rotated 360 degrees for a better sightseeing experience. Apart from that Vistadome coaches also has a GPS-based information system, hanging LCD screens, automatic sliding doors and toilets with ceramic tiles flooring & modern sanitary fiitings.
