Aswamedh - the 150th Locomotive of Howrah ELS --- DLW assembled, HOG equipped WAP7 Locomotive bearing road number # 37025 was the star of the show. The officials of Howrah ELectric Locomotive shed invited suggestions about naming their 150th locomotive, from Team TrainTrackers & IRFCA (Kolkata). The name and design of “ASWAMEDH” from the list of suggested by Team TrainTrackers were finalized by the shed authorities. And came the D-Day when Team TrainTrackers were invited to participate in decorating the locomotive for the said occasion. It was a second such opportunity for us following the act of decorating the loco of Nation’s First Rajdhani Golden Jubilee Celebration, a few days ago. The work undergone with the utmost help and guidance of the Shed officials. And finally the dream became a reality as the 150th locomotive of HWH-ELS officially named - ASWAMEDH and it got stencilled on the body of the locomotive in an aluminium plate. On 28th March 2019, the then General Manager of Eastern Railway Sri Harindra Rao flagged-off "ASWAMEDH" - the mythological horse !!!

It was a great pleasure and hounour for Team TrainTraickers to participate in such an event as well as 'naming' a locomotive of Indian railways - thus becoming a part of history !!!!
