While the train enters the Khidderpur Dock area, one can witness the historical Swing Bridge built in 1891 which can move 180 degrees for letting trawlers and other vessels access the port. The bridge was built by London based West Wood Baillie & Co. and connects the turning basin with main Kidderpore Dock No 1.
