The most important junction in the south section of Sealdah. The Budge Budge route along with the Circular Railway tracks converge with the routes leading to Sonarpur, Canning, Baruipur, Diamond Harbour, Lakshmikantapur, Kakdwip, etc. The place also has a Tram Depot right next to the station.
