Ruposhi Bangla --- in other words Beautiful Bengal is the new single-car AC tram commisioned by WBTC (erstwhile CTC) on 11th December 2016 on the occasion of ongoing Kolkata-Melbourne Tramjatra Festival. This AC tram like the earlier one (Charoibeti WBTC # 630B) will also ply on Heritage routes of Kolkata and will offer on-board refreshments to the tourists. For more info about booking and journey details one need to contact the WBTC website. And just like Charoibeti, this tram also got 2X2 push-back, front-facing cushioned seats with folding tables and this tram can also accomodate 24 persons per trip. The interiors are decored with curtains, wall mounted fans, LED lightings & roof mounted ac panels as well. The air-conditioning unit is fitted at the back of the car though. This single-coach tram along with # 645A was built from a dismantled double-coach Burna Standard built tram # 645. This is the 2nd air-conditioned tram built indigenously by Nonapukur.
