The main attraction of the museum is the Sriranga Pavillion, which houses the prestigious Maharani's Saloon along with kitchen and dining carriages. These coaches narrates an impression about the grand fashion & luxury in which the royalty used to travel.
Entrance to the pavilion has been designed using ornate rosewood pillars. These pillars are about 100 years old and originally belonged to Srirangapatna Railway Station. The pavilion also houses 100 years old Wall Clock that once kept time in Mysore station (made in New York in 1881), Heritage wooden furnitures, Vintage Ceiling Fan with wooden blades & lights, 1938 made old amplifier, Antique hand operated grinding machine, Wooden Ladder cum chair etc. There are also some unusual exhibits such as a chloroform inhaler and a telephone dating from the early 1930s (the personal phone of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar).
