Vizianagaram-Parvatipuram line was opened in 1908-09 as a part of BNR. Later in 1913, an extension to Salur was built. Currently East Coast Railway operates a pair of Railbuses between Bobbili (VBL) & Salur (SALR). It takes 40 mins to cover the distance of 16 kms with 2 halts.
