Hyderabad Multi-Modal Transport System or MMTS started its journey on 9 August 2003. It is a joint partnership of Government of Telangana and the South Central Railway and is operated by the latter. The Phase-I of this mass rapid system spans over a distance of 44 km, covering 27 stations which connects important neighberhoods of Secunderabad, Nampally, Dabirpura, Malakpet, Falaknuma, Hitech city and Lingampally.
