Introduced first in service in year 2003, these meter-gauge version of DEMUs are manufactured by RCF. The formation has 6 coaches including two driver cars and four trailer coaches, with a total carrying capacity of over 1000 passengers with a seating capacity for 424 passegers. Max. speed of a six car rake is 75km/h.

This DEMU rake caters between Indara & Dohrighat MG line, which was earlier connected to Balliah Chhapra before 1996. After gauge conversion between Indara Junction to Chhapra Junction this meter gauge line was limited between Dohrighat to Indara Junction.
