ZB-66 --- This magnificent mini giant was built by W.G. Bagnall Ltd, Castle Engg Works, Stafford, UK in the year 1952 and was heavily used in 2 ft 6 inch narrow-gauge Pathankot-Jogindernagar section of Kangra Valley railway. This 2-6-2T locomotive is the last surviving steam loco of KVR & it is occassionally used for chartered tourist train operations. Amritsar workshop had taken up the challenge in 2012 to revive this working heritage which then showed heavy incidents of corrosion in tender, under frame and boiler laggings and driver's cabin. In addition to that, the boiler and injectors also required major overhauling along with special attention needed for the under-gear and motion components. In March 2017 it was succesfully put back to life and steamed-up after several decades of lying as a defunct relic of bygone era. D.O.P. - 11th May 2017.
