Phoenix --- It was built in 1907 as broad-gauge Rail Motor car by Nasmyth Wilson & Co. Patricroft, Manchester, UK for East Indian Railway. With 'Four-Wheel-Switcher' 0-4-0 wheel arrangement, this unique machine has inside plate frame with two inside cylinders, two vertical combination-type injectors and equipped with 'Salter balance' type safety valve. The passenger compartment was resting on engine and one axle. It was in use as a rail motor air unit for branch line service of East Indian Railway.
