WAB BDhe4/4 - 112 --- Nowadays, most passenger trains are made up of railcars. But as the powered cars being positioned at the lower end, the train compositions do not usually cross Kleine Scheidegg to travel directly from Lauterbrunnen over to Grindelwald. However, a triangular junction specially built into the mountain-side at Kleine Scheidegg allows the train to be turned if necessary so that it can also be used on the other side of the mountain pass.
In the photo, a 1960 built BDhe4/4 class railcar - 112 with its trailer car Bt-277 was just entering the triangular junction at Kleine Scheidegg station. Photo taken by Asit Baran Das on 14th May 2015.
