Jungfraubahn BDhe2/4 - 201 --- Jungfraubahn or the Jungfrau railway is a meter-gauge rack railway which runs 9 km from Kleine Scheidegg (6,762 ft) to the highest railway station in Europe at Jungfraujoch (11,332 ft). Starting at 1896 the Jungfraubahn opened as far as the Eigergletscher railway station by 1898. But sixteen years after work commenced, the tunneling crew finally breaks through the glacier in Jungfraujoch on 21st Feb 1912 followed by the inauguration of Jungfraujoch station on 1st August same year.
