Brussels Tramways is one of the ten largest tram systems in the world opened in 1869 with horse-drawn carriages which now carries over 125 million passengers per year. As of 2013, the Brussels tram system consists of 19 tram lines with overall route length of 140 km making it one of the largest tram networks in Europe. The first electric tramway came to Brussels in 1894. The standard trams fleet mostly comprises 'Flexity Outlook' T-3000 series of Bombardier Corporation.
