122nd Calcutta Return Day of Swami Vivekananda --- Great monk Swami Vivekananda had delivered the historic speech in Chicago at the Parliament of the World's Religions in 1893 but returned to India four years later after extensive travelling through the US and UK, delivering lectures. During his return he travelled from Madras (now Chennai) by a steamer, which docked at Budge Budge on the banks of River Hooghly. On February 19, 1897 he travelled by train from Budge Budge to Kolkata. So to commemorate the 122nd 'Calcutta Return Day' of Swami Vivekananda, Eastern Railway ran a galloping EMU Special train, from Budge Budge to Sealdah on 19th February 2018, with floral decors & chantings of Vivekanada shloks. An initiative by ER along with Budge Budge Civic Authorities & Ramakrishna Mission. Roy was present at Ballygunj Jn. to cover the event on behalf of TrainTrackers.
